George Eddie Berry, 70, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at his home in Pontotoc, MS. George served in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1994. After retiring from the Navy, he went into business for himself painting and finishing drywall. He enjoyed camping, fishing, nascar, the Dallas Cowboys, teaching his grandchildren to fish, and a good cold beer. He was a MAGA fan. He will be dearly missed and eternally loved by his wife, Mary, and all of his family.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Berry, his daughters, Jennifer Holloway and Susie Sauceda (Andy), stepdaughter, Monica Redwine (Justin), stepson, Derik McGreger (Sabrina), his grandchildren, Clayton, Dyna, Tucker, Izabelle, Kaleb, Logan, Dorian, Brianna, Myles, and Devin, and his great-grandchildren, Lane, Linely, and Caysen, his brothers, Eugene (Pam) and Ricky, and his sister, Barbara (Dempsey).
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia “Trish” Berry, his parents, James Ardis and Annie Pearl Berry, his brothers, David Berry, Otis Berry, and Kenneth Berry, his sisters, Carolyn, Mary Faye, and Tammy, and his great-grandson, Levi Sage Newell.
There were no public services held. Burial was in Randolph Baptist Church Cemetery.
