George Clayton, 87, of Corinth, Mississippi (formerly of Iuka, MS), died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2012, graveside. Interment will follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Louise Clayton of Corinth, MS; 2 sons – Kenneth Clayton of St. Petersburg, FL and Roger Clayton (Rie) of Nashville, TN; 1 step daughter – Trudy Copeland (John) of Kosciusko, MS; 1 daughter in law – Jan Hamilton Clayton of Savannah, TN; 2 brothers – Wilbur “Rusty” Clayton (Benny) of Upland, CA and Arthur Clayton (Eddy) of Smithville, MO; 1 sister – Edith Nathan of Hesperia, CA; 6 grandchildren – Malachi Clayton (Sarah) of Dallas, TX; Aaron Clayton of Santa Rosa, CA; Tinuviel Maese of Maderia Beach, FL; Alaina Gray (Jordan) of Savannah, TN; Emily Clayton (Chris Roberson) of Nashville, TN; and Sia Clayton of Nashville, TN; 2 step grandchildren – Amy Crabtree and Chris Copeland; 1 great grandchild – Paris Maese; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Elmer and Flora Dora Cromwell Clayton; his son, Mark Thomas Clayton; his sons’ mother, Virginia Ruth Cadwell Clayton; 4 brothers – Marshall, Kermit, Frank (Violette), and Maynard Clayton (Pat); 4 sisters – Lora Sims (Joe), Hazel Brewer (Otis), Rachel Alter (Phil), and Lois La Franco (Charlie).
