George Carl Kesler Mr. George Carl Kesler age 93 of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, October 15, 2021, at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital. He was born December 29, 1927, in Hico, West Virginia, was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a retired minister, and a member of the Church of Christ at Unity. George attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and completed the Dale Carnegie Course. As well as preaching, he taught classes, and led singing. His presence impacted many lives throughout his journey. He was an avid reader with a particular interest in historical studies, enjoyed mechanical work, gardening, and exercise.  Mr. Kesler was preceded in death by his parents Willie Brown and Lena Campbell Kesler, wife Ora Mai Woodlee Kesler, brother Willie Brown “Jiggs” Kesler, Jr., sister Edith Carte, and daughter Andrea Burnett.

 

Survivors include his son Kent (Peggy) Kesler, daughters Diana Wakefield and Paula (Steve) Mastrodonato, sister Josephine Norman, dear friend Josephine Fitts, grandchildren Jason (Brandy) Rigsby, Karl (Melissa) Kesler, Jr., and David Kesler, and great grandchildren Xander Rigsby, Declan Rigsby, and Wyatt Kesler.

 

Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Unity Cemetery. Charles Williams will officiate. The Kesler family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home on Sunday.
