Mr. George Alton Travis, age 77 of Brownsboro, Alabama passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Highlands Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Travis Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Travis is survived by his wife, Rachel Travis; daughters, Regina Phillips (Lance) and Heather Daniel (Chris); sons, Shane Plemons, Timothy Travis (Misty), and Stacy Travis; grandchildren, Steve, Justin, Kevin, Haley, Alexis, Tomara, Tara, Tyson, Trenten, Keegan, Jacey, Austin, Brayden, and McKinley Rose; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Olsen, Carol Langston, and Doris Pleasant; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Myrtle Travis; grandson, Cole Plemons; brothers, Ed, Bill, Cleveland, and Alvin; sisters, Pearl, Berthel, and Glenda; and two infant siblings.
