George Alfred Wolfe, age 81, of Florence, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 25, from noon to 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Eric Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorials Gardens.
Pallbearers are Dean Vinson, Drew Vinson, Tony Burns, Mitchell Wolfe, Bryan Bowser, Danny Liles and Trevor Lowery.
Mr. Wolfe was a native of Marion, Virginia, and resided in Florence for the past 50 years. He was a retired car salesman and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, who loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Josephine Wolfe, and son, Steven Dewayne Wolfe.
Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Sue Wolfe; son, Michael Wolfe (Donte); daughter, Lisa Vinson (Dean); grandchildren, Sara and Mitchell Wolfe, Megan McKinney, Madelyn and Audrey Sue Vinson; and great-granddaughter, Rianna Wolfe.
