Genie Boyd, age 90 of Gadsden, passed peacefully, Friday, June 25, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones and family.
She was born and raised in Etowah County, Gadsden, Alabama.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2 before the service.
She is predeceased by her mother and father; Clara and Ted Cushing, brothers; Bobby Cushing and Arthur Cushing and her son-in-law; Wayne Matthews.
She is survived by her daughters; Helen (Gene) Lewis and Shelia Matthews, son; Freddy (Christie) Boyd, grandchildren; Felicia McKinney, Cheryl Ashley, Genna Lewis, Wayne Boyd, Scotty Boyd, Nicole Boyd and Katie (Josh) Hatley, eleven great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
