Genevieve “Ginny” Soper Jones – Obituary

Genevieve “Ginny” Soper Jones, 73, was born in Memphis, TN on November 20, 1943 to Charles Wayne and Jamie Anderson Soper. She went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2017 at her Chickasaw County residence after an extended illness. Ginny married her high school sweetheart, Joe jones and they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in 2017. Ginny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Services will be held Today, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 1 PM in the Okolona Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Dale Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon-service time today. Holland Funeral Directors, Okolona Chapel are honored to be serving the family

She leaves behind 4 children: David Jones of Silver City, NM, Teresa Guebara of Carlsbad, NM, Rose Espinoza (Charlie) of Grenada, MS, and Lynn Osborn(Brian) of Okolona, MS; 3 sisters: Martha Bowles (Harry) of Corinth, MS, Linda Harris (Theron) of Lake, MS, and Ruthie Robertson of Corinth, MS; along with 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Jamie Soper, 1 grandchild, Jason Fields and her in-laws, Joe and Hallie Jones.

Pallbearers will be Brian Osborn, Charlie Espinoza, Kevin Jones, Chadd Cereceres, Chase Sharp and Howard Bowles.
