Geneva Oliver Jones, age 95 of Winchester passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the Waters of Winchester. Mrs. Jones was born March 25, 1925 in Swaim, Alabama to the late Walter and Susan Sanders Oliver. She was a devoted homemaker and dearly loved her family and friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin M. Jones; daughter, Jo Ann Steele; sons, John Ruben Jones and Joseph Donald Jones; sisters, Alma Travica, Alvie Oliver, Beulah Terri, Susan Moore, Doris Henshaw, and Elizabeth Latham; brothers, Ernest G. Oliver, Herman Oliver, Howard Oliver, and Joe Dee Oliver. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Jane Jones George of Flintville; son, Earnest Paul Jones of New Market, Alabama; brother, Jessie Oliver of Illinois; sister, Letha Oliver Haley of Arkansas; 20 great grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Saturday July 18, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 19, 2020 in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Maxwell Cemetery.
