Geneva Nesbitt, age 96, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014. Visitation will be today from noon-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. today in the chapel, with burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating is Brother Ted Vafeas.
Geneva was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and member of the United Daughters of Confederacy, the Helen Keller Garden Club, Lions Club, the Tennessee Valley Historical Society, and an Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by husband, Loyul Nesbitt.
Survivors are son, Ronald Nesbitt (Jane); daughter, Elizabeth Hargrove (Harold); grandchildren, Steve Hargrove, Beth Sanderson (Tyler), and Tanya Dennis (Mark); and great-granddaughters, Amber Dennis, Julia Sanderson, and Ashton Dennis.
Pallbearers are Bob Rutherford, Bill Strickland, Tyler Sanderson, Mark Dennis, and Jerry Watson.
