Here is a schedule of camp events:

August 13, 8:30 -10:30 am: Cemetery Skills
Participants will meet at Florence City Cemetery to learn what tombstones can teach us and how they are used by genealogists. Also, we will talk about the proper way to clean tombstones, how to read old tombstones, and proper behavior when visiting a cemetery. If there is inclement weather, we will meet at the library computer lab at 1:30 instead.

August 14, 1:30-3:30 pm: Online Genealogy Skills
Participants will meet at the computer lab on the second floor of the library. Learn how to climb the branches of a family tree in the 21st century like the pros do, using trusted online databases.

August 15, 1:30-3:30 pm: Local History Room
Participants will meet at the Local History Room on the second floor of the library. We will explore the library’s collection of local records on microfilm, learn how to use family history books and files, and become familiar with the library’s Local History Room.

There is still plenty of room left to register for our upcoming Genealogy Camp give us a call.
