Funeral service for Gene Wilson, 86, will be Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Miller and Rev. Samuel Nisely officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilson died on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 8, 1931, in Walker County to Nathaniel Wilson and Hassie Lee McClellan Wilson. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cullman. He was retired from Monsanto after 24 years of service. Mr. Wilson was a Veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army. A member of the American Legion and served on the Honor Guard Team. He was also a member of the VFW. He is preceded in death by his wife: Margie Wilson, his parents, and his brothers and sisters.
