Gene Burch, 65, of Central Heights passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. until at Valley View House of Prayer. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Bro. Larry Burbank officiating. Burial will follow at Central Heights Community Cemetery.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Louise Burch and 6 siblings.
Gene leaves behind 2 sons, Steve Burch (Diane) and Randy Burch; 3 step-daughters, Carrie Clemons (Larry), Katrina Clemons (Terry), and Wendy White (Robert); brother, Calvin Burch (Patricia); sisters, Sue Edwards, Ruth Reeves (Jerry), Peggy Box, and Doris Herod; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
“Gene was a good hearted man who never met a stranger. He was kind to everyone. Gene was fun to be around, always cutting up, laughing, and having a good time. He loved all his family and never made a difference in us kids. He always treated us three girls like his daughters from the first time that we met him. He would help us anyway he could. We want to remember Gene as the good, happy spirited man that he was.”
Pallbearers will be Josh Burch, Robert White, Baylee White, Bobby Fox, Elton “Peanut” Wood, and Ricky Petty. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Clemons and Tee Clemons.
