Gene Baker, 83 of Corinth passed away on July 16, 2026 at his home in Corinth. He was born June 8, 1943 in Moro, Arkansas to the late James Henry and Bertha Meeks Baker. Gene was a retired fork life operator for Quebecor and of the Christian faith. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his sister brought him immense joy. He enjoyed being outside whether it be cleaning up his car or doing yard work it did not matter, he loved being in the sun. He enjoyed fishing and being on the water. Gene is survived by his sister, Linda Sappington; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Luree Samples Baker; his partner, Eunice Fugate; his parents; brothers, Roy Baker, J. B. Baker and Jimmie Baker; and his sisters, Mildred Teague, Annie Dickerson, Jewell Holliday, Merle Kennedy and Docia Freeman. There are no services scheduled.
