Gene Askew – Obituary

Gene Askew, age 84, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Summerford Rehab in Falkville, AL.

Mr. Askew was born August 28, 1932, in Cottonwood, AL to Ralph and Ethel Askew.

He is survived by one son, Bryan Askew (Jennifer) of Decatur, Al; two daughters, Amy Sanderson (Scooter) of Columbus, GA and Vicki Walker (Pete) of Decatur, Al; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was a purple heart Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Services will be September 18, 2016 at Parkview Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Todd Evans officiating.

Arrangements were held at Shelton Funeral home.
