Mrs. Gaynell Thompson Blalock, 51, of Scottsboro, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Johnson and Rev. Steve Wilbanks officiating. Burial will follow Gant Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blalock is survived by her son, Josh Blalock; mother, Hattie Thompson; sister, Mary Little Ramey (Will); brother, Sambo Thompson Jr. (Dana); several nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; and special cousin, Sue Harris.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sambo Thompson and grandparents, Jake and Viola Smith and George and Susie Thompson.
