Mr. Gary Wayne Lane, age 67, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 17, 2025. He was born on October 9, 1957.
Gary was known for his strong work ethic, spending his early life farming and later working in construction. In his younger years, he was active in Troop 71 of the Boy Scouts of America, and throughout his adult life, he remained faithful in service as a deacon at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. His dedication to his family, church, and community left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Janice Lane; children, Brandon (Katara) Lane, Bradley Lane, and Misty (Zack) Reno; grandchildren, Alli Reno, Deqlyn (Troy) Lane Mitchell, Kiyah Reno, Kamdon Engle, Kate Lane, Maddy Lane, and Keigan Lane; and great-grandchildren, Fletcher Mitchell and Ryder Reno. He is also survived by his siblings, Dennis Hoffman and Donna Hoffman Baker; uncle, Robert Fowler; and aunts, Gaynell Parker and Regina Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elton Hoytt Fowler; mother, Mary B. Lane Warnke; brother, Keith Hoffman; and sister, Denise Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carey Sims and Bro. Jon Quinn officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
