Mr. Gary Van Johnson, age 74, of Gurley, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Gary was a Tool and Die maker at PPG in Huntsville and served in the Alabama National Guard. He loved his country and was a true patriot. He also was an avid golfer, playing often at Goosepond Colony.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Lola Mae Johnson, and his sister, Lynda Darnell.
He is survived by his wife, Freda Johnson, and cousins, Becky (Keith) Barnett, Elaine (Larry) Lowe, Johnny Locke, and Joy (Jerry) Anderson.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Gurley City Cemetery in Gurley, Alabama.
