Gary Randall Friar, 60, of Greenhill, AL, passed away September 4, 2013 after a brief illness. Mr. Friar was an accountant and a member of the Muscle Shoals Amateur Radio Club, Lauderdale County Search & Rescue, and Amateur Radio Emergency Service.
Survivors include:
Sisters: Laura Friar Campbell (Craig) and Sheila Friar Shelton (Monty)
Special Niece: Robin Campbell
Mr. Friar was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jean Kennedy Friar.
Visitation for Mr. Friar will be Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 11-1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Ian Butler officiating . Robin Campbell will deliver the eulogy. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Quillen, Eli Trousdale, Brad Killen, Randy Gist, Phillip Smith, Dwight Friar, Randall Trousdale, and Joel White. The honorary pallbearers will be Leon Kennedy, Derrick Killen, Charles Kennedy, Franklin Kennedy, Royce McGee, Keith Kennedy, Billy Ray Quillen, Pat Smith, Max Roberts, and Ike Clemmons.
The family would like to thank the ECM Hospital Nursing Staff of CTRU, especially Justin Barber; Dr. Rhuland, Dr. Lango, Dr. Dobbs, Dr. Holden, and Dr. Paul; Center Star Fire Department and the medics of the Ambulance Service. The family would also like to thank all the family and friends for their loving support during this difficult time.
