Gary Lee “Bull” Roberts – Obituary

Mr. Gary Lee “Bull” Roberts, age 71, a resident of Toll Dugger Road in Culleoka, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at NHC Healthcare, Columbia.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 19. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11AM until the 1PM service at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 25, 1945 in Maury County, TN, he attended the Church of God of Prophecy. He was nick named “Bull” because he was a big man.  He loved bass fishing, especially in the Tennessee River. He was a member of the Maury County Bass Club in his early years.  He was a fan of UT Football, Titans, and the Atlanta Braves.  He was a dedicated family man who loved his wife Betty dearly.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Ann Tucker Roberts, brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Wayne and Martha Tucker; step-son: Keith Tucker (Vickie) of Pulaski; nieces and nephews: Mike and Kattie Tucker of Mt. Pleasant, Phillip and Crystal Tucker of Columbia, Gabriel and Sherry Hay of Summertown, Steve and Amy Mangrum of Columbia; great- nieces and nephews: Jordan, Cameron, Selena, Landon, Haley, MacKenzie, Noah, Abby, Ella and Rosa; and step- grandchildren; Sarah and Bryan.

He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Davis, three sisters, and one brother.
