Gary John Fox, of Hartselle, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025. Born October 15, 1952, in Huntsville, Alabama, Gary was known for his boisterous personality, his ability to light up any room, and his deep love for others. A 1971 graduate of Butler High School, Gary served proudly in the National Guard for 10 years and dedicated 35 years of his career to FedEx. He was a faithful member of First Methodist Church of Hartselle, where his love for Jesus shined through his life and actions.

Gary cherished time with his family—whether it was playing with his grandchildren or enjoying regular lunches with his close friends, the ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out). His greatest joy was found in laughter, connection, and giving of himself to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Margaret H. Fox, and his twin brother, Larry Fox. He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Fox; children, Stewart Fox, Skyler Fox, Theresa Taylor, and Jimmy Singleton; grandchildren, Rylie, Cohen, John Gavin, Isabella, Kassidy, Evey, Baylie, Brylie, and Mac; his brother, Richard Fox; niece,s Alicia and Jessica; and nephews, Adam and Phillip.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Pope officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at First Methodist Church of Hartselle (https://fmchartselle.org/give). Gary’s vibrant spirit and unwavering love will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
