Gary Harshbarger – Obituary

Gary Harshbarger, 80, of Russellville, AL, passed away Mon., Oct. 28, 2013, at his home with his wife of 57 years, Pearl Harshbarger by his side. .

Born April 19, 1933, in Barboursville WV, he was the son of the late Cecil and Margaret Harshbarger. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Delores.
Gary was a retired Air Force Tech Sergeant and served his country for 22 years. He served in Idaho, where he met his love, Pearl. He served 10 years at Wright-Patterson AFB where he was with the Air Force Orientation Group. He also served 7 years in England and 2 years in the Philippians and was sent all over the world to work on airplanes. After his retirement, they moved to Alabama.

Gary is survived by wife, Pearl; five children, Teresa, Tammy (Mike), Timothy (Tammy), Todd, Troy (Tanya); and they were blessed with 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 30 at Elliott Funeral Home in Moulton from 6 until 8 PM.

His wish was always to return home to his beloved West Virginia.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 1st from 6-8 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville WV. Funeral Services will be held on November 2nd at 11:00 am at Wallace Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forest Memorial Park in Milton, West Virginia.

Wallace Funeral Home of Barboursville, WV, is in charge of arrangements.
