Gary “Grizzly” Wayne Herring, age 66, of Phil Campbell, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Grizzly was a hardworking man who loved his family and his friends, especially his grandbabies. He’s a big man with a big heart. His friends will always remember him saying “Just one more.”
He leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife of 47 years, Peggy McBrayer Herring; sons, Al Herring (Shannon), Chad Herring (Erica); grandchildren, Allie Herring, Elijah Herring; brother, Randy Herring (Janet); nephews, Randall, Mark, and Justin Herring; great-nephew, John Randall Herring; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Frances Herring.
The family will have a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
