Gary Dewayne Fields Sr., age 61, of Florence, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. Visitation will be Thursday, March 27, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Alvin Thigpen officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
He worked for T.J’s Manufactoring Company for over 25 years and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Louise Fields, and sisters, Carolyn Metheney, Deloris Fields, and Rachel Bass.
Survivors are his children, Gary D. Fields Jr., Mindy B. Fields, and Justin Fields (Sarah); sisters, Brenda Kollars (Steve), Linda Buck (Robert), Jane Franks (Ricky), Donna Jacobs (Tim), Kim Smitherman (Bobby), and Connie Johnson (Brian); brothers, Jerry “Toot” Fields (Mary), Tim Fields, and Keith Fields (Jenny); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mindy Fields for funeral arrangements
