Gary Andrew Seibak, 83, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2024. He was born on March 9, 1941, in Oakland, California.
Survivors include his children, Linda “Blue” Hashimoto, Gary (Heidi) Seibak Jr., Greg (Brandy) Seibak, Gene Seibak, Gerald McAllister, and Charlotte Kilgore; 13 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; sister, Lorna Bouchey; sisters-in-law, Josephine McAllister and Nita McAllister; brother-in-law, David McLain; and his sweet kitty, Lucy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Rosella Hawkins, father, Kenneth James Seibak; and his wife of 35 years, Dorothy Seibak.
Dad was a Superman who never wore a cape. He was a retired Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force serving as a Defensive Fire Control Systems Technician on B-52s. He was an avid golfer who was quick to remind you that he shot his hole-in-one at age 81. He loved watching Alabama football, loved baseball, and loved watching comedies. You would often find him near his grill or smoker. He was an excellent cook and loved feeding anyone who walked in the door. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, patient, compassionate, gentle soul and was always there with a helping hand. Gary will be greatly missed by his family, military brothers, former co-workers, and friends.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The memorial service will immediately follow in the chapel.
