It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary Allen Craig, aged 83, who left this world peacefully on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at his residence in Athens. Gary was born on July 13th, 1941, in Logan, Alabama, to the late Hazle Andrew Craig and Amy Estelle Bates Craig.
Gary’s legacy lives on through his beloved wife, Patricia, and their cherished family; son Allen (married to Christy), daughter Tamie (married to Kevin), granddaughter Trinity; and step-grandson Layne. He is also survived by his brothers, Dwight, Bill, Bob, and Fred, and his sisters, Jane and Sharon.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Hazle and Amy, his infant brother Phillip, sister Joyce, and niece Myra.
In remembrance of Gary, his family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of Limestone County, in lieu of flowers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
