Gary Alan Wayner, age 74, of Fort Payne passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at his residence. Mr. Wayner was born in Trenton, Georgia on September 25, 1950 to the late Robert Conrad and Gracie Dowdy Wayner. He was a retired school teacher, serving for 26 years. He was also a member of Gault Avenue Baptist Church, an avid seller of books on natural history, and a Vietnam veteran.
Mr. Wayner is survived by his son, Patrick Wayner, and his wife Laura; along with six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife of 46 years, Susan Dewyer Wayner; and his son, Robert Conrad Wayner.
The family will be planning memorial services at a later date.
