Garvis “Bud” Lee Baker, age 85, Hackleburg, passed away on Thursday, September 08, 2016 at Hamilton Hospital.
Bud worked for years as a manager for a grocery store. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He was always willing help to a friend in need.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Dale Galloway. Burial will be at Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Lanny Baker (wife, Vedera), Thomas Baker, Tim Baker (wife, Barbara), and Danny Baker (wife, Melissa). Also surviving are grandchildren, Shane Baker, Erika Presley, Nathan Baker, Jeremy Farris, Tiffany Trotter, Ghena Farris; great-grandchildren, Abby Trotter, Summer Baker, Sawyer Presley, Ruby Baker, Everett Baker, London Farris; sisters, Bernice Mayfield, Mary M. Clark; brothers, Jay Baker, Hugh Don Baker; and a host of nieces & nephews.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ledbetter Baker; and parents, Garvin & Avo Baker.
