Funeral service for Garlin Cheatham Jr., age 70 of Hartselle will be Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 3:00pm at the First United Methodist Church of Hartselle with Rev. Jimmy Bassham officiating with burial in the Hartselle Memory Gardens Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time on Saturday at the Church.
Mr. Cheatham, who died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his home, was born April 22, 1946 in Lawrence County to Garlin Cheatham Sr. and Nancy Evelean Johnson Cheatham. Mr. Cheatham was a Methodist and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Construction Engineer for Valley Steel Construction and was instrumental in the moving of manufacturing plants all over the world. He designed and developed Booth Meadows Subdivision and KV’s RV Park and Storage, both located in Hartselle. He designed and patented a handicapped RV lift chair with TheTravel Lift Chair Company. He was preceded in death by a son; Kenneth K.V. Vest.

William Booth, Mason Booth, Patrick Cheatham, Patrick West, Scott McCarley and John Welborn will serve as pallbearers.
