Funeral service for Garland “George” Cowart , 60, will be Monday, June 22, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Johnson Chapel UMC with Bro. Benny Sivley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Church.
Mr. Cowart died on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born July 4, 1954, in Morgan County to Paul Monroe Cowart and Annie Lou Kirby Cowart. Mr. Cowart was a Mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Darin Oneal Cowart, two sisters: Patricia Grissom and Loretta Cowart, a brother: Paul Cowart, Jr.
In lieu of flowers: Family requests that memorial donations be made to the Danville Youth Football League.
