Gari Sue Kilgore Lollar, age 80 of Oakman, passed into eternal rest on Friday, April 3, 2026 at her home in Providence.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 1:15 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Liberty Hill Church of Christ Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her Parents-Elviage and Oma Lee Kilgore; Sister-Rebecca Alvis; Grandparents-Luther and Oma Evans, and Ed and Lona Kilgore; Mother-in-Law-Missie Odom Lollar.

She is survived by her Husband of 61 years-Louis Wayne Lollar; Sons-Billy Lollar (Julie), Michael Lollar, and Jeff Lollar; Grandchildren-Mike Lollar (Hannah), Jerry Lollar (Jasmine), Rebecca Gilbreath (Nathan), and Kadie Lollar; Great Granddaughter-Haven Lollar; Expected Great Granddaughter-Lacey Sue Lollar; Sisters and best friends-Karen Smallwood (Mitchell), and Debra Gant (Garry); Brothers-Jimmy Kilgore (Sheila), Joe Kilgore (Sandra), and Rickey Kilgore (Pam); Special nieces-Sharon, Susie, Melanie, Jennifer, Stephanie, Ashley, and Scarlett; Baseball Buddy-Corbin.

She was a faithful member of the Central Church of Christ and proud 1965 graduate of Oakman High School. She retired from the Walker County Center of Technology and then traveled and made many friends while going to all fifty states and countries. Sue was a virtuous woman that loved her God, family, and neighbors. Her kind heart and sweet love made it a blessing to know her. Jesus carried her from her pain in this world to a place of eternal joy; and her special love will be forever in our hearts.
