Gail Moore York, 80, of Springfield, Tennessee, formerly of this area, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022. She was born March 25, 1942 in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late George Thomas Moore and Billie Constance Neathery Moore.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in Fischer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Cannon Fund for cancer research and patients:

She is survived by her son Guy York and wife Janice; daughter Tracy Jones and husband Brian; grandchildren Tanner Jones, Cassie Willingham and husband Cody, and Nickolas Ambrose; sisters Peggy Ehrenberg and Diane Stewart; and special friend Charles Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon E. York.
