Gail G. Hansen, age 78 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Vanderbilt-Harton Hospital in Tullahoma. A native of Franklin County, she was born on November 6, 1944, in Sewanee to the late Woodrow and Ruby (Swann) Grant. A dedicated homemaker, Gail enjoyed cooking and entertaining her beloved family and friends. She was a devoted member of Christ the King Anglican Church. Gail is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years, John Hansen II of Winchester; daughter, Margaret Michelle (Carl) Barringer of Smyrna; son, John Christian (Stephanie McPherson) Hansen III of Piney Flats; grandchildren, Emily (Seth) Cobb and John Christian (Crandall) Hansen IV; and great-grandchildren, Mallory Cobb, Marshall Cobb, Hannah Cobb, and Geneva Grace Hansen. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Christ the King Anglican Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Father Bill Midgett officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Garner Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception with the family will be held in the parish hall of Christ the King Anglican Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Memorial Fund at Christ the King Anglican Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
