G.W. “Jerry” Moore, 80 of Athens, passed away on Thursday, February 6th, 2025. Mr. Moore was born on December 13th, 1944, in Pulaski, Tennessee, to William “Billy” Joseph Moore and Lillie Mae Ray Moore.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife Brenda Moore; daughter Tammy Griffin (Keith); son Gerald Moore (Gina); grandchildren Levi Griffin (Kasey), Logan Moore, and Lauren Moore; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Joyce Cooper.
Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be Friday, February 14th, 2025, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Eddie Woodard officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00-1:50pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Elkton Cemetery, Elkton, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Larry Ray, Joey Oliver, Aaron Moore, Cody Oliver, Brian Ducar, and Ray Minor.
Mr. Moore was a special man. He loved singing, all types of music, and going fishing. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
