Funeral service for G.C. Childers Jr. age 93 of Eva will be Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 2:00pm at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Brother Jeremy Callaway and Brother Randy Sellers officiating with burial in the Union Hill Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. He will lie in state I hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Childers, who was born July 10, 1931, in Morgan County to George Cleveland Childers Sr. and Bessie Lee Bates Childers, died on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at his home in Eva. He worked for the United States Postal service as a rural letter carrier for 34 years. He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church for 75 years where he served as a Deacon.

8 Great-grandchildren: Eli, Logan, Ethan, Kyndall, Ella, Luke, Kymber, and Mason
Jonathan Shaddix, Matt Dyess, Caleb Thornberry, Austin Bentley, Dawson Lindsey, Jeff Frost, and Nathan Holmes will serve as pallbearers
