Fun Times In Athens This Coming Weekend

ATHENS-Spring is near and the weather is warming.  Athens has several fun event for the upcoming weekend to help get everyone in the mood for spring.  Check these fun events out:

• The Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the 2024 Home & Garden Show, presented by IMPACT Roofing. The event will occur from March 15 to 17 at the Athens State University Gymnasium. This 3-day extravaganza is a must-attend for homeowners, gardening enthusiasts, and more. The festivities kick off on Friday from 5 pm to 8 pm, setting the stage for a weekend full of inspiration and innovation. On Saturday, doors open at 8 am and close at 4 pm, with a leisurely Sunday schedule from 12 pm to 4 pm. Admission is $5 cash only. Kids 12 and under admission is free. • 2^nd Annual Athens Main Street Boutique Crawl. On March 16, 2024, downtown Athens clothing and gift boutique owners will open their doors to welcome patrons into their shops for major specials and sweet surprises. The clothing boutiques will have new Spring lines out and ready to dazzle. The gift boutiques will have great new items to refresh your home after the long winter. For each purchase over $20 made the day of the Boutique Crawl, patrons can enter a chance to win a $500 Shopping Spree in downtown Athens sponsored by Dream Key Real Estate. • Inaugural Downtown Athens Pub Crawl. The Inaugural Pub Crawl in downtown Athens will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, beginning at 4 p.m. Participating restaurants include Studio 16 Cigar Lounge, Ro’s Grille, Village Pizza, The Salty Cod, Athens Alehouse and Cellar, Old Black Bear Brewing Co., and Limestone Legends Billiards. This is a free event to join and attendees are encouraged to park and walk and can join in anytime. This event was organized by an individual patron who loves to visit/eat in downtown Athens and wants to encourage everyone to come visit and support these local restaurants.
