Fultondale Man Dies In Two-Vehicle Accident Near Jasper

WALKER COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident near Jasper in Walker County that has taken the life of one person:

“A two-vehicle crash at approximately 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, has claimed the life of a Fultondale man.

Roy Howell, 76, was fatally injured when the 2013 Toyota Highlander he was driving collided head-on with a 1998 Freightliner tractor trailer, driven by Cedric Cook, 50, of Memphis, Tennessee. Howell was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near mile marker 60, approximately one mile south of Jasper, in Walker County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
