Freida Martin Edwards, 78, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama.
She was born on Monday, January 19,1948, in Ardmore, Alabama to the to the late Hubert Martin and Lois Bland Martin.
Frieda lived all her life in Ardmore and was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, one daughter, Jennifer Nicole Scott, three brothers: Jim Martin, Jack Martin, Dan Martin, two sisters; Millie Aycock, Mona Wrotham, as well as one grandson; Christopher Scott.
She is survived by her husband of forty years, Dale Edwards, two daughters; Beverly (Keith) Bailey of Toney, Alabama, Lori Scott (Earnie Gilbert) of Tanner, Alabama, one sister, Suzanne Maddox of Ardmore, Alabama, as well as two grandchildren: CK Bailey, Craig Bailey.
A visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama, on Saturday, March 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow directly afterwards at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2026, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama. Travin Gilbert will be officiating the service. She will be laid to rest at Hasting Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
