Freida Mae Reedus, age 68 of Decherd, took flight with the angels and went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 29, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born on January 24, 1953, to the late L. Junior Stovall and Dorothy Lee Taylor. A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. She loved to sing and entertain; her house was considered the fun house. Freida was known as the “Spade Queen”, she loved to play a good game of cards. She will be remembered as a fun-loving person, who loved to make people laugh and always wanted everyone to have a good time. She was a dedicated member of Sheppard Street Pentecostal Church of God and cherished her church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roy Lee Taylor and Hattie B. Taylor; uncles, Joe Bill Taylor, Horace Taylor, and James Taylor; and aunts, Katherline Williams, and Flossie Taylor. Freida is survived by her loving children, Chevita M. Taylor, Chad Maurice Taylor, Okemia Davis, and Loquentia J. Reedus; grandchildren, Nastassia Taylor, Anitra Taylor, Giordani Taylor, Shaquille Burnette, Whitney Taylor, Mikel Taylor, Tionna Snodgrass, Davante Waddell, Randasha Reedus, MaKinzie Taylor, and Chad Taylor Jr; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister, Walterine (James) Morrow; caregiver, Chanetine Gray; close friends, Calvin Mayes and Maxine Morris; and a host of other close friends. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
