Freeman Shannon Stark

Age 90 of Springfield passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at NHC in Springfield. He was born March 7, 1932 in Springfield, TN to Dallas & Mattie Shannon Stark. He retired as a mechanic from RC Bottling Company. He enjoyed working on and restoring old tractors. He enjoyed fixing anything with a motor. He loved attending tractor pulls and spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Thomas Maynard; 3 brothers, Clyde Stark, Jesse Stark and Russell Stark; son-in-law, Billy Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Betty Stark, Springfield, TN; sons, Joe (Robin) Stark, Springfield, TN and Shannon (Jodie) Stark, Portland, TN; daughter, Rita Roberts, Springfield, TN; 5 grandchildren, Nikki (Dwight) Hinkle, Misty (Marshall) Romero, Whitney (Chris) Stark, Jimmie Joe Maynard and Luke Maynard; 10 great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Rylee, Savannah, Peyton, Colin, Kaylee, Karson, Ziya, Shayna and Chevey; great great grandson, Jack. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Tim Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Tuesday, May 17, 2022 2-8PM and Wednesday, May 18, 2022 9-11am at the funeral home.
