Freeman Newman Jones, age 91 of Jasper, entered the Kingdom of Heaven, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his residence. He was a member of Hunters Chapel Holy Church of Christ. He was in the U.S. Navy and World War II Veteran.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Walker Memory Gardens. Sam Cain and Thomas Reeves will officiate.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his Parents-Mr. and Mrs. Newton N. Jones; Sister-Flora Mae Brown; Brothers-Wynann Jones, Lois C. Jones and William Jones.
He is survived by his Sons-Jerry W. Jones and Marlin C. Jones; 3 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Special Friend-Rita Key.
