Freeda Olene Smith, 77, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at Tishomingo Manor, Iuka, MS. She was born April 19, 1941 in Prentiss County, MS and worked at Golden Manufacturing, Golden, MS. She was a member of Palestine Church, Paden, MS.
Services will be Sunday, July 8, 3 p.m. at Palestine Church, Paden, MS with Bro. Danny Young officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery, Paden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are two sons – Jerry Smith (Anita) Tishomingo, MS and Greg Smith, Belmont, MS; six grandchildren – Timothy Smith, Wade Smith, Bradley Smith, Sabrina Smith, Jeffery Smith and Dustin Ozbirn; ten great-grandchildren and three sisters – Barbara Mock, Edith Russell and Linda Patterson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Smith, a son, Gary Smith, a grandson, Cary Wayne Smith, parents, Rufus Gann and Mollie Smith Gann, two brothers, Jimmy Dale Gann and Roy Gann and one sister, Darlene Maxwell.
Visitation will begin Saturday, July 7, at 5 p.m. at Palestine Church and continue until service time on Sunday.
