Fredia Ernestine McClellan

Age 82 of Old Hickory went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 18, 2021 at Hendersonville Medical Center. She was born November 11, 1938 in Ashland, KY to Alvin C. & Lillian Martin Hill. She worked for National Life Insurance and also worked as a substitute teacher in every community where her husband was pastor over the years. She was a faithful and loving pastor’s wife, who knew everyone and was involved in every aspect of the church. She was known as a very giving servant and was a member of Pennington Bend United Methodist Church, the last church that her husband served as pastor before his retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Rayburn Hill and Edward O. “Buddy” Hill; 1 sister, Dorothy Humphreys. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Ed McClellan, Old Hickory, TN; brothers, Preston (June Dzoba) Hill, Whites Creek, TN and A. Lynn (Susan) Hill, Franklin, TN; sisters, Catherine Sensing, Gallatin, TN and Charlotte (Kenneth) Herring, Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Private family Graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2pm in Cross Plains Cemetery with Rev. Hubert Cunningham officiating. No visitation is planned.
