Mr. Frederick “Russell” NeSmith, age 67, of Arab, Alabama passed away at home on August 20, 2023. Mr. NeSmith was born October 20, 1955, son of Max L. NeSmith and Anna Marie Abbott NeSmith, in Marshall County, AL. Russell was a machinist by trade.
Russell had a great variety of interests and hobbies but family was always put first. Spending quality time with children and grandchildren always made his days special. Russell was a huge supporter and fan of Alabama football. He enjoyed working on older model cars. This interest led him to following drag racing and he thoroughly enjoyed visiting Baileyton Good Time Drag Strip.
Russell is survived by his son, Jason B. NeSmith (Pam); daughter, Kristen Harris Wayne); grandchildren, Jordan NeSmith (Shamber), Dakota NeSmith and Bailee Harris.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Anna Marie NeSmith, and his brother, Kevin NeSmith
Services for Mr. NeSmith will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
