Memorial service for Frederick Joe “Pete” Noland, 82, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Austinville United Methodist Church with Reverend Dallas Culver officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. at the church. Graveside service will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Garden of Honor, at 3 p.m.
Mr. Noland, who died Saturday, September 6, 2014, at NHC Healthcare, was born January 11, 1932, in Waynesville, North Carolina. He was a retiree of Champion Paper in Courtland and a member of Austinville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Macy Noland.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Connie; sister, Suzie Noland and husband, David, of Fines Creek, North Carolina; son, Freddie Noland and wife, Pat, of Trinity; daughter, Annette McQuaid and husband, Randall, of Hardy, Virginia; granddaughter, Melissa Brown and husband, Mark, of Trinity; and great-granddaughters, McKellen Brown and Madiland Brown of Trinity.
