Obituary of Fred Morrison A Celebration of Life Service for Frederick “Fred” J. Morrison 83, are set for 11:00 am Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Smith and Bro. Nathan Vanhorn officiating, Walker Wood will be doing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Henry Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00am to service time.

Fred died February 25, 2023 at his residence. He was born August 22, 1939 in Fort Worth, TX to the late Floyd and Carrie Morrison. Fred graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth, TX in 1957 and University of Texas at Arlington in 1961. After serving 2 years in the US Army, he joined the General Electric Co. in 1965, ending his career as plant manager in Selmer, TN. In April 1998. Fred enjoyed the outdoors fishing, golf and gardening, he was a member of First Baptist Church.

Fred was a giver and loved giving to those less fortunate. His philosophy was that you can’t out give God as this proved to be true in his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Morrison; sons, Matthew Morrison (Carina), Shane Morrison; daughter, Beth Weil (Richard) two grandsons, Townsend and Zeke Weil.

Pallbearers, John smillie, Jerry Boucher, Jerry Nixon, Walker Wood, David Green, Terry Cartwright.

Honorary, The Men’s Class at First Baptist Church.
