Freddie Ray Puckett, age 82, of Athens, Alabama passed away at Athens Health and Rehabilitation in Athens Alabama, on Thursday, January 23, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1943, to Mr. Amos Jerome Puckett and Mrs. Zana Whitt Puckett in Blanche, Tennessee.
Freddie spent the majority of his life in Athens, Alabama where he was of the Christian faith. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His hobbies included fishing as well as training and riding horses for the rodeo.
He was a man that truly loved life. He found joy in the simple things and never missed a chance to share a good laugh with those around him.
Mr. Puckett is survived by one son, Adam (Ann) Puckett, one daughter, Jaclee (Yogi) Wurtz, two brothers: Randy (Lucy) Puckett and Jimmy (Fran) Puckett, seven grandchildren, as well as eighteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and one brother, A.J. Puckett.
A Memorial Service will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
Ardmore Chapel will be assisting the family with services.
