Mr. Freddie Earl Barnwell, 80, of Union Grove, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Barnwell was born May 6, 1936 in Cairo, Illinois to William Clinton Barnwell and Marcella Dishinger Barnwell. He was employed by Ditech as a Quality Assurance Inspector until his retirement. His wife Jacqueline “Jackie” Lee Royster preceded him in death on July 15, 2007. He moved to Union Grove from California in 1994. Mr. Barnwell enjoyed playing pool and was an avid card shark; he enjoyed mowing with his John Deere mower and loved his dog TAZ.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
Mr. Barnwell is survived by his children and in-laws: Michael Barnwell, David Barnwell, Denice and Shaughn Harrington and Angela Barnwell; his step-father: Paul White; a sister: Angela Talmadge; grandchildren: Jeremy Jones, Jennifer Jones, Aaron Barnwell, Jason Barnwell, Sidney Barnwell, Kenneth Tarver, Brian Madden and Melissa Seralbo and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jackie Barnwell; his parents: William and Marcella Barnwell; a daughter: Karen Madden and a brother: Paul David White.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday February 16, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brother: Randy Blakely, officiating with Brindlee Mountain Chapel and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday February 16, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel.
