Freddie Cole, 82 of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Cole was born on August 25th, 1942, in Limestone County, to Bert Abram Cole and Evelyn Powell Cole.
Mr. Cole is survived by his wife Glennis Cole; sons Michael Cole (Glena) and Kevin Cole (Sabrina); grandchildren Mollie McNeese (Donald), Lynn Cole, Derek Cole (Winter), and Matthew Cole; great-grandchildren Ian Tucker, Elliott Tucker, Everleigh Cole, and Reagan Cole; sister Cathy Baugher (John); brother Danny Cole (Sarah); and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Powell Cole.
Funeral services for Mr. Cole will be Sunday, January 19th, 2025, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Poole, Brett Cole, John Baugher, Randy Martin, Donald McNeese, and John Gorman. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Wilcoxson, Bill Thornton, and the Men’s Sunday School and Bible Study Group at Parker Chapel Methodist Church.
Mr. Cole was married to the love of his life for 62 years. He retired after 34 years from Chrysler. He was a kind, sweet, loyal, trusting, wise, and generous person. He dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his church, Parker Chapel Methodist. His grandkids called him their best friend and they knew him as “Day-Day.” He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
