A memorial service for Mr. Fred Smith Atwater III, age 54 of Morrison Crossroads, will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Union Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Halsey and Pastor Gary Cox officiating. The family will hold a private interment at Hepsabah Baptist Church a later date. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family request that all who plan to attend the service, wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Fred passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA. Born in Southington, CT; he lived in Florida for many years before moving to Alabama for the last 35 years. He attended Randolph County Learning Center and loved spending time at school. If you knew Fred, you loved him for his gentle smile and caring heart. He was member of Hebsabah Baptist Church and was attending Union Baptist Church the last several years.
He is survived by his parents, Harold F. Sr. and Toni Atwater, his sister, Rose Denkler (Curtis), his brother, Harold F. Atwater, Jr., all of Morrison Crossroads, a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Starks and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
