Fred Donald Wills, 78, of Madison, died at his home on Monday, April 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Dianne Clayton Wills; daughter, Nancy Wills; sons and daughter-in-law, Clayton and Zarina Wills; step-grandsons, Erwin Paul and Winfred; sister, Winifred Wills James of Monetta, SC; nephews, Martin (Dee), David, and Jon (Susan) and their children; mother-in-law, Betty Clayton; sister-in-law, Sharon Hayes; and brother-in-law, Steve Clayton (Michele) and their families.
Fred worked at Marshall Space Flight Center for nearly 45 years before retiring in 2007. He served on the Madison City Council form 1988 to 1992. He was later appointed to the Madison County Judicial Commission. He graduated from Clemson University in 1957 and was a member of the Clemson Huntsville Alumni Club. He was the most avid of Clemson Tiger football fans. He received his master’s degree from the University of South Carolina.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
